What we repair

  • Clutch and dual-mass flywheel.
  • Timing belt or chain, with the water pump.
  • Shock absorbers, ball joints, bushes and suspension arms.
  • Steering and steering rack.
  • Radiator, thermostat and cooling system.
  • Exhaust and catalytic converter.
  • Auxiliary belt, alternator and starter motor.

Hills, clutches and temperature

The steep streets of La Laguna and long climbs such as the road up to Teide are hard on the clutch and the cooling system. If the clutch slips going uphill or the temperature gauge rises on a long climb, bring it in before you break down.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a timing belt change cost in Tenerife?

From €390 including IGIC, with the full kit and water pump, on an ordinary car. It depends a lot on the engine, so we give you a written quote for your car from the number plate.

How much does a new clutch cost?

From €490 including IGIC. If the car has a dual-mass flywheel that is also worn, the price goes up quite a bit. We check it first and tell you in the quote.

How often should the timing belt be changed?

When your car's manufacturer says, usually between 60,000 and 160,000 km or between 5 and 10 years, whichever comes first. If you are not sure, we can look it up from the number plate.

Do I get the old parts back?

Yes. We hand you the replaced parts unless you tell us you do not want them. It is your right under Spanish law.
