Car diagnostics to find out what is really wrong.
A fault code tells you where to look, not which part to change. We plug in the diagnostic tool, read every control unit and confirm the cause before touching anything.
In a nutshell
- GSP Garage carries out electronic car diagnostics in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, from €45 including IGIC.
- We read the fault codes from every control unit in the car (engine, gearbox, ABS, airbag and climate control) through the OBD port.
- A steady engine warning light means the car should be checked soon. If it flashes, stop as soon as you can, as it can damage the catalytic converter.
- After the diagnostic check, GSP Garage gives a written quote before repairing anything.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a car diagnostic check cost in Tenerife?
From €45 including IGIC. That covers reading every control unit and confirming the cause. If the fault is hard to track down, we let you know before going further.
Can I drive with the engine warning light on?
If it is steady and the car drives normally, you can bring it in without rushing. If it flashes, the car judders or a red light comes on, stop as soon as you can and call us.
Does clearing the code fix the fault?
No. The light goes off for a while and comes back, because the cause is still there. The ITV, the Spanish MOT, can also fail the car with the light on.
