Heat, bends and tyre wear
Hot tarmac and mountain bends wear the shoulders of a tyre faster. If a tyre is wearing on one side only, it is usually the alignment, and fixing that is cheaper than replacing tyres early.

How much do new tyres cost in Tenerife?
It depends on the size and brand. Fitting and balancing costs from €12 per wheel, including IGIC. Send us the size from the sidewall on WhatsApp (for example 205/55 R16) and we give you the total price.
When do tyres need replacing?
By law, when the tread drops below 1.6 mm. We recommend changing them at 3 mm, or sooner if they have cracks or bulges or are more than 5 or 6 years old.
Do you repair punctures?
Yes, from €15 including IGIC, if the puncture is small and in the tread. A puncture in the sidewall cannot be repaired safely.
How often should I have the wheels aligned?
When you fit new tyres, after hitting a kerb hard or if the car pulls to one side. Otherwise, once a year is a good rule of thumb.
