In a nutshell
- At GSP Garage an oil and filter change costs from €65 and a full service from €140, including IGIC.
- GSP Garage uses oil that meets your car manufacturer's spec (for example VW 507.00 or ACEA C3), rather than a generic oil of the same grade.
- Oil should be changed when the manufacturer says, usually every 15,000 to 30,000 km or once a year.
- After frequent calima (Saharan dust) it is worth changing the air filter and the cabin filter sooner.
What the service includes
- Oil and oil filter.
- Air filter and cabin filter, when due.
- Coolant, brake fluid and screenwash levels.
- Brakes, tyres and tyre pressures.
- Lights, wiper blades and battery.
- Service indicator reset and a stamp in the service book.
Calima and filters
After a few days of calima, the Saharan dust that blows over the islands, the air filter and the cabin filter clog up. The engine breathes less easily and the air conditioning smells and cools less. After heavy calima, ask us to check them even if a service is not due.

When your car's manufacturer says, usually every 15,000 to 30,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first. If you mostly do short trips, do not leave it to the last minute.
Will I lose my car's warranty if I don't go to the dealer?
No. EU rules let you have your car serviced at any garage, as long as the oil and parts meet the manufacturer's spec. We stamp your service book.
Do I need to book an oil change?
